Everyday Law Journal is a project between two friends, LawHound and StreetLawyer, who have absolutely no background in law. We never went to school for it, we never practiced, in fact at least one of us has never even been to court on official business. We are, however, both intelligent and interested in law and how it applies to everyday life.
So, that makes us uniquely suited to try to distill extremely complicated laws into easy to understand language that will actually come in handy to know. We can read the big lawyer-speak words and convert them into words that human beings actually use and do so in a way that will be fun, entertaining, and hopefully informative.
Throughout this journey, we will make mistakes. We will interpret things incorrectly and hope that if you have a personal experience, that you join us in clarifying it so everyone learns. We aren’t lawyers, we’re regular people like you.
